What is an Altraz Tablet?
Altraz contains salt called Anastrozole. It belongs to the group of medicines called Antiviral drugs. It is used to treat breast cancer in postmenopausal women. Its function is to lower the estradiol ( medication of a female hormone) concentration in the blood which slows down the tumor growth and size.
What is the Anastrozole drug used for?
Anastrozole is sold under the brand name Arimidex. It is manufactured by Alkem Laboratories Limited. Anastrozole is in a class of medications called nonsteroidal aromatase inhibitors. This medicine is used to treat breast cancer in women after menopause. Some breast cancers are made to grow faster by a natural hormone called estrogen. Anastrozole decreases the amount of estrogen the body makes and helps to slow or reverse the growth of these breast cancers that need estrogen to grow.
