Anzavir- R Tablet contain two drug called Atazanavir and Ritonavir. It is used to treat HIV/AIDS. It is used in combination with other antiretrovirals. This tablet does not cure HIV infection but it will delay the progression of a chronic and life-threatening condition known as Acquired Immunodeficiency Syndrome (AIDS) and other HIV-related conditions. This medicine works to prevent the virus from multiplying. It belongs to the protease ( helps to slow the growth of HIV infection) inhibitor class and works to block HIV protease. Atazanavir is used along with other medicines to treat Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) infection in adults and children who are at least 3 months of age. Atazanavir is the class of medications called protease inhibitors. It works to decrease HIV in the blood. It is an antiretroviral medication used along with other medications to treat HIV/AIDS. It may also be used to treat hepatitis C in combination with other medicines. It is taken by mouth. It is used to prevent the enzyme that metabolizes other protease inhibitors. It is used in pregnancy by lowering the doses of this medicine.
