What is Cresp Injection?
Cresp Injection contains salt called Darbepoetin alfa. It is used to treat anemia. It is a prescription medicine that is available as an injection. Anemia mostly occurs from kidney disease or chemotherapy. It works to stimulate the bone marrow to produce more red blood cells.
What is the Darbepoetin alfa drug used for?
Darbepoetin is sold under the brand name Cresp Injection. It is manufactured by Dr. Reddy’s Laboratories Limited. Darbepoetin alfa injection is used to treat anemia ( a lower than the normal number of red blood cells) in people with chronic kidney failure ( it is a condition in which the kidney slowly and permanently stops working over some time). It is also used to treat anemia caused by chemotherapy in people with certain types of cancer. It cannot be used in place of a red blood cell transfusion to treat severe anemia and has not been shown to improve tiredness or poor well-being that may be caused by anemia.

Anemia occurs when there are not enough healthy red blood cells in your body. Red blood cells carry oxygen through your bloodstream, giving you energy and helping your muscles, bones, and organs work properly.
