It contains a salt called Axitinib. It is used to treat renal cell carcinoma in adult patients. It is used for patients who have kidney cancer. Axitinib helps to prevent the growth and multiplication of cancer cells. It reduces the development of the disease. This kidney cancer is known as renal cell carcinoma ( a type of cancer that begins in the cells of the kidneys). It belongs to a class of medication called kinase inhibitors.
