Introduction (Lenalid 15mg  – 30 Tablets) 

It is an anti-cancer medicine. It contains a drug called Lenalidomide. It belongs to a group of medicine called immunomodulatory agents. It is used to treat multiple myeloma, lepra reaction, mantle cell lymphoma, and anemia which occur in patients suffering from myelodysplastic syndrome ( MDS). The medicine is used one or in combination with certain other medications. It is an immunomodulator. It is not recommended to not use it in a patient less than 18 years of age. This belongs to a group of medicines that affects how your immune system works.

Lenalidomide

It is used to treat various types of cancers. It works to slow or stop the growth of cancer cells. It is used to treat anemia, multiple myeloma, and lepra reaction. Lenalidomide is a cancer drug and it is known by its brand name, Revlimid. It is used for the treatment of multiple myeloma and blood disorders. It is used alone or in combination with other medications to treat adults with certain types of follicular lymphoma, multiple myeloma, or anemia caused by certain types of myelodysplastic syndromes (a group of disorders caused by blood cells that are poorly formed or don’t work properly. It helps the immune system to kill abnormal blood cells or cancer cells. It may also prevent the growth of new blood vessels that tumors need to grow. 

Multiple myeloma

Multiple myeloma is a cancer that forms in a type of white blood cell called a plasma cell. Healthy plasma cells help to fight infections by making antibodies and attacking germs. 

Whereas cancerous plasma cells collect in the bone marrow and move out of the healthy blood cells. The cause of multiple myeloma is unknown. Risk factors include obesity, radiation exposure, family history, and certain chemicals.
