Pomalidomide is sold under the brand name Pomalyst. Pomalidomide is used in combination with dexamethasone to treat multiple myeloma ( a type of cancer of the bone marrow) that has not improved during or within 60 days of treatment with at least two other medications. It includes lenalidomide ( Revlimid) and a proteasome inhibitor such as bortezomib (Velcade) or carfilzomib ( Kyprolis). It is used to treat Kaposi’s sarcoma ( a type of cancer that causes abnormal tissue to grow on different parts of the body) related to acquired immunodeficiency syndrome ( AIDS) after unsuccessful treat other medications or in people with Kaposi’s sarcoma who do not have human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) infection.
