Description

What is Tacromus 0.5 mg Capsule?

Tacromus 0.5 mg Capsule contains salt called Tacrolimus. It is an immunosuppressant medicine. It is used to prevent organ rejection ( when your body’s immune system treats the transplanted organ as a foreign object and attacks it) after kidney, liver, or heart transplantation. It works to decrease the activity of the immune system ( defense system rejecting foreign substances) and helps in preventing the rejection of the transplanted organ by the body.

What is Transplant Rejection?

Rejection is your body’s way of not accepting a kidney transplant. Although rejection is most common in the first six months after surgery. It can occur at any time. The transplantation team can usually recognize and treat a rejection before it causes any major or irreversible damage. It is very important for you to continuously take your medications as prescribed and have your blood work as scheduled.

What is a Kidney transplant?

A kidney transplant is a procedure where a new donor kidney is placed in your body. This is typically done to treat kidney failure. Once attached, your new kidney will start to do the job of the failing organ. The transplanted kidney is usually placed on either the lower right or left side of your abdomen.

  • What are the symptoms of kidney transplant requirements?

Each hospital has its criteria for accepting people as kidney transplant recipients. But in general, a person should have:

End-stage renal failure and be on dialysis

Late-stage chronic kidney disease approaching the need for dialysis

A life expectancy of at least five years

A full understanding of postoperative instructions and care.

What is a Liver transplant?

A liver transplant is a surgical procedure to replace a failing liver with a healthy one that comes from another person’s body. You can receive a whole liver from a donor who has recently been pronounced dead, or you can receive a part of a liver from a living donor. A divided liver can grow back to full size in both your body and the living donor’s body.

  • What are the symptoms of a liver transplant?

The minimum requirement for the quality of a liver transplant are:

That you have clinical signs of liver failure or primary liver cancer

That you are well enough to have the surgery and recovery

That you are not considered at risk of future alcohol or drug abuse.

There’s a lot involved in determining these things. Healthcare providers will fully evaluate your physical and mental health and any history of chemical dependencies.

What is Heart Transplant?

A heart transplant is an organ transplant surgery that replaces a heart with a donated heart from another person. To receive a heart transplant, you must be very ill despite medical therapy and need a new heart to survive. Because there’s a limited number of donor’s hearts, you must also meet very strict requirements to qualify for this kind of transplant.

  • What are the symptoms required for the heart transplant?

Heart transplants are performed when other treatments for heart problems haven’t worked. It leads to heart failure. In adults, heart failure can be caused by:

A weakening of heart muscle

Coronary artery disease

Heart valve disease

A heart problem you’re born with

Dangerous recurring abnormal heart rhythms

Failure of a previous heart transplant

In children, heart failure is most often caused by either a congenital heart defect or cardiomyopathy.
