Short answer
Bicalutamide is a non-steroidal antiandrogen used for prostate cancer. Towada Products exports it from New Delhi, India, supplying Bicatero in the 50mg strength to licensed buyers in Southeast Asia, the CIS region, the Middle East and select markets in Europe and Africa. Pricing is on enquiry.
Bicalutamide is a non-steroidal antiandrogen. It binds the androgen receptor and blocks testosterone and dihydrotestosterone from stimulating prostate cancer cells, without lowering testosterone levels itself.
At 50mg it is approved, in combination with a GnRH analogue or surgical castration, for advanced prostate cancer, and it is used briefly at the start of GnRH agonist treatment to block the initial testosterone surge. At 150mg it is approved in Europe and other countries, alone or with radiotherapy or surgery, for locally advanced prostate cancer at high risk of progression, and for some patients with locally advanced disease for whom castration is not suitable. The 150mg use is not approved in the United States. The originator brand is Casodex.
Leuprolide, goserelin and triptorelin, which bicalutamide is often combined with, are in our catalog, as are the newer androgen receptor inhibitors enzalutamide and apalutamide. Liver function is checked during treatment. Our catalog lists bicalutamide 50mg tablets, which are kept at room temperature.
Bicalutamide is a prescription medicine, and whether it is suitable for a patient is a decision for the treating doctor. This page describes the medicine for trade buyers; it is not medical advice.
