Short answer
Darunavir is an HIV protease inhibitor used for HIV-1 infection, boosted with ritonavir or cobicistat and combined with other antiretrovirals. Towada Products exports it from New Delhi, India, supplying Danavir and Durart (combination products) to licensed buyers in Southeast Asia, the CIS region, the Middle East and select markets in Europe and Africa. Pricing is on enquiry.
Darunavir is a second-generation HIV protease inhibitor. It blocks the viral protease that cuts long viral proteins into the working parts of new virus particles, and it keeps activity against many strains resistant to older protease inhibitors.
It is approved for the treatment of HIV-1 infection in adults and children, always given with a booster, either low-dose ritonavir or cobicistat, and in combination with other antiretrovirals. The originator brand is Prezista; combinations include darunavir with cobicistat (Prezcobix, Rezolsta) and darunavir with cobicistat, emtricitabine and tenofovir alafenamide (Symtuza). The WHO recommends boosted darunavir as an option in second-line HIV treatment.
The products in our catalog combine darunavir with ritonavir as the booster. Ritonavir, atazanavir and lopinavir combinations, and nucleoside backbones such as tenofovir and lamivudine, are also listed, so HIV programmes can order complete second-line regimens. Darunavir tablets are kept at room temperature and ship without a cold chain. Tell us the strengths and pack size when you enquire.
Darunavir is a prescription medicine, and whether it is suitable for a patient is a decision for the treating doctor. This page describes the medicine for trade buyers; it is not medical advice.
