Short answer
Lapatinib is an oral dual HER2 and EGFR tyrosine kinase inhibitor used for HER2-positive advanced or metastatic breast cancer. Towada Products exports it from New Delhi, India, supplying Etibo and Lapakast in the 250mg strength to licensed buyers in Southeast Asia, the CIS region, the Middle East and select markets in Europe and Africa. Pricing is on enquiry.
Lapatinib is an oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor that blocks both HER2 (ErbB2) and EGFR (ErbB1). Unlike antibodies such as trastuzumab, it acts inside the cell on the kinase part of the receptor.
It is approved for HER2-positive advanced or metastatic breast cancer: in combination with capecitabine for patients who have received prior therapy including trastuzumab, and in combination with letrozole for postmenopausal women with hormone-receptor-positive, HER2-positive metastatic disease for whom hormone therapy is indicated. In Europe it is also approved in combination with trastuzumab for hormone-receptor-negative metastatic disease. The originator brand is Tykerb (Tyverb in Europe).
Capecitabine, letrozole and trastuzumab are all in our catalog, so breast oncology centres can order the combination partners together with lapatinib. The tablets are kept at room temperature and ship without a cold chain. Liver function and heart function are monitored during treatment. State the strength, pack size and quantity when you enquire.
Lapatinib is a prescription medicine, and whether it is suitable for a patient is a decision for the treating doctor. This page describes the medicine for trade buyers; it is not medical advice.
