Short answer
Leuprolide (leuprorelin) is a gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH) agonist used for advanced prostate cancer, endometriosis, uterine fibroids and central precocious puberty. Towada Products exports it from New Delhi, India, supplying 6 brands, including Eurolide, Leprol and Leulide, in 3.75mg, 11.25mg and 22.5mg strengths to licensed buyers abroad. Pricing is on enquiry.
Leuprolide, also called leuprorelin, is a synthetic analogue of gonadotropin-releasing hormone (GnRH). Given continuously, it first stimulates and then suppresses the pituitary, lowering testosterone in men and oestrogen in women.
Depot formulations are approved for the palliative treatment of advanced prostate cancer and, depending on the product and country, for endometriosis, for anaemia caused by uterine fibroids before surgery, for central precocious puberty in children, and in some countries for premenopausal breast cancer. Each depot product releases the medicine over a set period, such as one, three or six months, and the approved uses differ between products. The originator brand is Lupron Depot (Lucrin or Prostap in other markets).
Because depot strengths and release periods differ, tell us the exact product and strength, for example the 3.75mg one-month or 11.25mg three-month depot. Goserelin, triptorelin and degarelix, the other hormone therapies for prostate cancer, and abiraterone, enzalutamide and apalutamide are also in our catalog. Storage conditions are printed on each brand's pack.
Leuprolide is a prescription medicine, and whether it is suitable for a patient is a decision for the treating doctor. This page describes the medicine for trade buyers; it is not medical advice.
