About pazopanib: drug class and approved uses

Pazopanib is an oral tyrosine kinase inhibitor. It acts mainly on the VEGF receptors, which tumours use to build a blood supply, and also on the PDGF receptors and KIT.

It is approved for advanced renal cell carcinoma, both as first-line treatment and after prior cytokine therapy, and for advanced soft tissue sarcoma in patients who have received prior chemotherapy. It is not approved for adipocytic soft tissue sarcoma or gastrointestinal stromal tumours. The originator brand is Votrient.

Liver function is monitored during treatment with pazopanib, which is one reason it is prescribed and followed by oncologists. Other kinase inhibitors in our catalog used in kidney cancer include sunitinib, cabozantinib, axitinib and lenvatinib, and buyers who stock several of them can ask us to quote them together. The film-coated tablets are kept at room temperature, as printed on each brand's pack, and ship without a cold chain. State the strength and quantity when you enquire.

Pazopanib is a prescription medicine, and whether it is suitable for a patient is a decision for the treating doctor. This page describes the medicine for trade buyers; it is not medical advice.
